Reading create task

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to my week 3 blog post about my reading create task.
A reading is basically just follow up/ homework that we have to do during the day.
So now I will share my create task. So we had to read a book and take a phrase out of it and then draw a picture about what you visualise in your mind.
Down below is a photo of my drawing and what I visualise in my mind. The first one is about what I visualise in the witch and the wardrobe. And the second one is the song by Louis Armstrong " What a wonderful world "

I hope you enjoyed my blog post about my reading create task and I hope to see you next time Bye!

Science 2019

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to my week 3 blog post.

This week I will be talking about the science we have been doing every Tuesday. So every Tuesday in our home bases we go to different teachers in the hub and we do different experiments. So first with Miss Powick we had to make bridges with only tape, 50 Popsicle sticks, blue-tack and paper. Then the second week we were with Miss lover, I wasn't at school for this one so sadly I had to miss out. Then we did heart rate with Miss Parish. We learnt how the heart rate works and how the resting heart rate is different to the active heart rate. Then next week we have Miss Henderson.

Thank you for reading my week 3 blog post and I hope you learned some stuff about my science I have been doing. Bye!

Stanford University math course

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to my week 2 blog post about a the Stanford university math course we have been doing.
This course was really good and helped me learn lots of things.

In lesson 1, I didn't think that this course was gonna work and that it was gonna be a waste of my time but now I know that it was really good that I did it because I have learnt so much from it and I feel like I am more stronger in maths and I have a better growth mindset about maths.

Lesson 2 Mindset. In lesson 2 we learned about having a growth mindset and what the difference between a growth mindset and a fixed mindset. I also learnt that the only way to be good at something is too have a growth mindset and not a fixed mindset.

Lesson 3 Mistakes. In lesson 3 we learned about making mistakes and that its good to make mistakes because then we learn from them and we can make sure that we do better next time.

Lesson 4 Number flexibility. In lesson 4 we learned about the messages people get in their head that they are not good enough and they are not smart enough to do math questions. They also said that we need to make sure we keep those bad messages out of out head because they aren't true.

Lesson 5 Making Sense & Intuition. In lesson 5 we learnt about looking at something with vision and it also told me about what pi is and what it is and means when other people who have done well in math what they have done with pi and how they have used it and how the result went with it.

Lesson 6 Math and Patterns. In lesson 6 the final lesson we learnt about patterns and how they are made all around the world with animals and sports and everyday life. I found this very interesting because we are actually using math without knowing it.

Now I think thats all for today and I hope you learned lots about the Stanford University course and I will see you next time, Bye!

Have you ever done a math course like this before?
