 Hi,

Welcome back to my blog post for this week. 

This week for writing we had too do persuasive texts and we had too look at all the 17 goals. Which the teachers chose three of that we had to write our speech about this week we did some more speech writing and we practiced and timed our speeches.

This is my first paragraph of my speech. Down below.

" Along with causing greater poverty, a lack of affordable healthcare is leading to problems with mental and physical health. There are around 420 million deaths due to mental health issues and 5 million people around the world are dying each year from not having access to affordable care and not enough money to get the help they need. "

Have you ever wrote a speech before ?

 Hi,

This week for my writing blog post we had to plan our speeches for this term. We had to choose a topic out of four categories to write our speeches about. I chose the category good health and well being, I chose this topic instead of the others because I think that there is lots of different parts about it and I think that there's lots to write about and it's a very interesting topic to write and to listen to if I was in the audience's perspective. We had to plan our speech onto a doc and show the teachers our plan for what we were gonna write our speech about. I wrote on my plan different categories that could fit into the good health and well being topic and I wrote mental health, physical health and disorders and conditions and how they are caused in the human body and how does it develop in the human body.

Hi, This week for my writing task we had too watch a couple videos and then we had to write a story, I chose to use pobble 365 to help me get an idea to write about. Once I had gotten my idea to write about I starting writing. Down below is a little bit of my story that I wrote, the title is " The Redo "

Writing Task

This week for our blog post for my writing create task had to write a story using descriptive words and sentences.
You had to choose a picture and then you had to write a paragraph or two about what the picture was about and what you think it shows.
I chose to write about the story " the woods " I wrote that I was stranded in the middle of the woods " and I used describing words on how I felt in the woods, and what I could see around me.

Writing task W5

This week for my Writing task we did narrative writing, we had to find a topic of writing buy looking a titles and making up a story with that title. I chose to do the title " the mirror in the attic " . You also had to use all the grammar and new things that we learned this week in the story. The story had to be at least 250 - 300 words long so it was called a short story. We also had something called a graphic organiser, where we had top set out and plan what where gonna write about, such as the setting, characters, plot, problem, solution ect. Then once we had filled that out we could start writing the short story.

This week for writing we did poetry, we had to get a poem that someone else wrote and we had to highlight the features in the poem, then we had to write our own poem. I chose to write mine about quarantine because that's what we in right now.  I learnt lots of new things about poetry, and figured out how to write one. Down below is the poem I wrote.

This week we had to edit our worthy New Zealander report, we had to show how we edited and how we edited it. I edited mine by adding comas were they needed to be added, using capital letters, using full stops, proofreading to make sure it makes sense. I cant show you the changes on my report because I have already handed it in, but I did edit my report with that grammar.

This week for our writing task we have to watch some videos about spelling and choose what one we wanted to do, I chose to do plurals then we had to create a google drawing and we had to write examples and the rules of that spelling strategy you chose. The rule for plurals is that you have to add " es " to the end of any word ending with " -ch, -sh, -x, -z and -s. The words that dont end with that can still be plurals by adding s to the end of any other word. Down below is the link to my plurals google drawing.

Writing task - biography editing !

Welcome back to my blog post for this week .

This week I will be sharing with you my writing task for this week.
This week for our writing task we had to get a couple paragraphs for our biography that we did in term 1 - for my biography I chose Helen Clark.  Then we had to look at a google drawing that had a bunch of different language and we had to of had a couple of them in biography. Then we highlighted the parts in the paragraphs that we thought we used that language and then we would write a comment beside it and explain why we think we used that in that paragraph and why we think its important for everyone to use it. Writing follow up ( tasty texts )

Welcome back to my blog,

This is my blog post about my writing task for this week. This week we had to make a template to show how to make a report with paragraphs, conclusions and intro ect. You had to choose one year group to make t on because if I made one for year 8 I would add more detail and if I was for a year 1 I would add less detail and make less writing and less big words and more pictures and colour. I chose to do year 1 and 2. Down below is my task that I did. I decided to do an easy hamburger.

Welcome back to my blog post about my writing task for this week.
For my writing task this week we had to write instructions for a fair game. For my instructions I wrote instructions for balloon darts. In my instructions I put some pictures on it to add some creativity to it and to show what it might look like. I made instructions that a 5 year old would be able to understand. And I made one that a 10 year old would understand. As you can see the 10 year old one has more detail so that they would be able to understand more of how to play the game.
